Homebase slashes price of egg chair from £200 to £160

HOMEBASE has slashed the price of its popular egg chair from £200 to £160 - but you will have to be quick as it is only available in stores.

One shopper spotted the bargain in her local store and posted her find to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

The rattan pod chair in white, which is sold out online, is freestanding and has a cosy cushioned inner.

It is still listed as £200 on Homebase's website, and the retailer confirmed it had been priced at £160 in stores, although this was a limited offer.

It also warned shoppers that stock of the chair is very low across the country.

The shop's website allows you to check stock in your local store, although this isn't always up to date.

The chairs have proved extremely popular, with versions sold by Aldi and B&M selling out almost immediately.

The Homebase version is one of the cheapest on the market at the moment.

A similar version in B&Q is priced at £368, while one in Argos is £250 - although they are both sold out.

This rattan egg chair for sale on Amazon will be in stock this week, the listing says, although it is £429.95.

Some Aldi shoppers sold the egg chairs they had bought for twice the price on eBay and Gumtree.

If you are buying things to enjoy in your garden this summer, Homebase is selling a mini outdoor bar with an ice cooler built into it.

The retailer reopened all of its stores last month, having been closed during the lockdown.
